Our Candle Bar Session is a hands-on creative experience guided by a professional candle maker. Whether you're treating yourself, planning a date night, or looking for a unique outing with friends, this is the perfect way to slow down, get creative, and leave with something you made yourself.
Walk-ins are welcome. Reservations recommended for groups of 4+
What You'll Do
- Blend your own unique scent - explore our fragrance library and craft a combination that's all you (don't forget to name it!)
- Choose between a candle or wax melts - whichever fits your vibe
- Mix and pour your fragrance - with hands-on guidance every step of the way
- Take it home - the wax takes roughly 60 minutes to cool, so feel free to browse the shop or pick it up later/next day
What to Expect
- Duration: Approximately 30-45 minutes (plus 60 minutes cooling time)
- Location: Sunnsheen Scents, McCook, NE
- What's included: All materials - vessel, wax, fragrance, dried florals, and guidance from a professional candle maker
- What to bring: Just yourself and your creativity! Comfortable clothes are recommended (wax can be messy!)

Is there an age requirement?
We welcome all ages! Children should be accompanied by an adult. Hot wax is involved, so adult supervision is required for little ones.
Can I book for a group?
Absolutely! The Candle Bar is perfect for birthday parties, girls’ nights, team outings, and more. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations get first priority. We have seating for 10 people at a time.
If you would prefer a private setting outside of store hours, please submit a contact request or message us on Facebook! Private parties are welcome to bring their own drinks, food, and decorations. This is perfect for bridal parties, birthdays, or gatherings.
What if I can’t pick up my candle the same day?
No problem, candles can be picked up the next business day once they’ve fully cooled and set.
Can I choose any scent?
Yes! You’ll have access to 12 different fragrances to blend a scent that’s uniquely yours. Scents rotate seasonally, so there is always a new combination to try!
Do I need any candle-making experience?
Not at all! Our professional candle maker will guide you through every step. No experience necessary.
Can I make more than one candle?
Absolutely! With so many scents to choose from, it’s easy to get the creativity flowing. An additional candle can be added to any Candle Bar Session for only $25.
